LEOPARD SAFARI

Around 9:30 a.m. we start our adventure from the gateways of Bristow’s Haveli towards the Senna Village.

On our way, we make a stop at the Om Banna Temple (Moped Temple). As a tradition embedded in culture, hundreds of travellers turn up to this temple in order to pray for a safe journey. The story of the creation of this temple is one of the most interesting in the country. Om Singh Rathore rode the bike on December 2 in the year 1991. Unfortunately, the bike crashed into a tree leading to a fatal accident which ultimately lead to Rathore’s death. The motorbike was collected by the police and taken to the police station. The following day, the motorcycle had disappeared from the station and was found right back at the spot where the accident had occurred. This instance kept repeating no matter how much the police tried keeping the bike at the station. Every time, the motorcycle kept returning at the spot of accident before dawn. Since then, the motorbike is worshipped as “Bullet Bike” at “Bullet Baba’s Temple”.

As our journey continues, we shall stop for lunch at Sanderao Village, a place which used to be governed by the Sisodia rulers of Udaipur. Our route shall further take you to the incredible Jawai Dam, which is simply a gorgeous sight to behold. Take in the amazing view of the place and relax amidst the stunning natural surroundings. The Jawai Dam has been crafted across the Jawai River, which is a tributary of Luni river. One can spot gorgeous fleets of birds as well as crocodiles in the water. It is one of the most amazing views to witness as you stand amidst nature and wildlife surrounding you.

The next stop is our final destination to the Senna Village, where one may spot leopards in the dense jungles of the village. Safaris are meant to be enjoyed late in the evening, when the jungle is quiet and the animals are out of their dens. These spotted creatures are one of nature’s most stunning creations. Watch these predators prowl about the jungle in all their magnificence and glory.

Around 8’o clock in the evening, we head for our journey back towards the Blue City of Jodhpur.
